Having won 342 games in his career at Coppin State makes Head Coach Fang Mitchell an institution. This will be his 22nd year at the helm and with five starters returning it appears the Eagles are poised to greatly improve on last year's 12-20 record.

The Guards --The Eagles boasts one of the MEAC's top players in 6-2 guard Tywain McKee who averaged 17.4 points per game which was second in the league last year. McKee has one of the best jump shots in the conference and knows how to get everybody involved in the offense. Sophomores 5-9 Darryl Roberts at the point and 6-3 Ruben Britt are returning starters in the three guard attack.

The Forwards In the frontcourt senior Antwain Harrison averaged 9.2 points per game at one forward spot last year, fellow senior Robert Pressey who averaged 6.7 ppg and 4.8 rpg also returns.

The Center --Robert Pressley is Coppin State’s best post player and should provide solid inside play.

Schedule The Eagles will be well tested when conference paly begins after consecutive games at Ariz St, Ohio St, Dayton, Marquette, Indiana and Missouri. Coach Fang Mitchell's crew loves to play the slow it down, control the pace game, something that keeps the Eagles competitive. Roberts and Harrison are capable of putting the ball in the basket, and if they give McKee some help, the Eagles should be in good shape. Expect few none conference wins but a team that will be ready for conference play, Coppin will be in the hunt for the MEAC but expect only 15 wins this season.

THe schedule is ridiculous but the team will be ready for conference play, Coppin will be in the hunt for the MEAC but expect only 15 wins this season.
