Sergio Rouco enters his 4th season as Head Coach and FIU appears capable of winning on more than grit and guile this year. Rouco has his best combination of talent, balance and experience to date. Two starters return and there is an infusion of size into the program that hopefully will enable them to move towards the .500 mark.
The schedule includes 17 home games, which should help, but visits by George Mason, USF and Miami won’t. An upset or two could go a long way; look for small gains on their way to 14 wins in 07-08.
