Head Coach Jerry Eaves will be entering his fifth season at the helm, and although he has yet to post a winning mark he has been gradually building the program and has them headed in the right direction. The Aggies finished 15-17 last season but returns three starters, substantial depth and appear poised to challenge for the conference championship.

The Guards Coach Jerry Eaves will lean on senior point guard Stephen Rush for scoring, ball handling and leadership. Rush is one of the MEAC's most explosive players. Senior Austin Ewing will be at the guard after averaging 11.0 ppg last year. A&T will look to a pair of 6-3 seniors Angelo Fernandez and Glenn Nelson to contribute off the bench.

The Forwards - Senior Jason Wills will play inside and he's one of the most consistent players on the team having contributed 13.9 ppg and 7.2 rpg last season. Senior Trahern Chaplain and Junior Nicholas Wilson will be key contributors for the Aggies in the frontcourt.

The Center -- North Carolina A&T has signed 6-8 centers Thomas Coleman and Kam Shepard.

The Schedule will include road games against St. Louis, Pitt, DePaul, Missouri and Washington State, obviously they'll be well tested come conference play. Coach Jerry Eaves signed a recruiting class with size to complement his top three scorers -- Stephen Rush, Jason Wills and Austin Ewing, each of whom averaged in double figures to last season. -- The question this year will be whether the Aggies, the league's top offensive team a year ago, can take it to the next level. This looks like the year North Carolina A&T could legitimately battle for the conference title. The Aggies have been gradually building their program, and this is a talented bunch that should be a handful for most teams in the league. Look for improvement from the Aggies this season as they'll contend for the conference title and win 20 games this season.

With their schedule they'll obviously be well tested come conference play. The Aggies have been gradually building their program, the Aggies will contend for the conference title and win 20 games.
