Coming off an eight win season you have to believe this team will be better than last year. Second year Head Coach Byron Rimm II believes with improved play inside they’ll be able to get back into the SWAC Tournament. Much of that improvement is expected to come from 7-0 junior Blake Thompson, a transfer who is expected to battle for the starting center position.
Three starters’ return and the addition of Thompson will give the Panthers added size. The non-conference schedule is extremely tough and Prairie View will enter league play with few victories. Look for middle of the pack in conference and 10 wins at seasons end.
