At Temple Fran Dunphy will be entering his second season as Head Coach, the Owl's finished with overall record of 12-18 and dismal tie for 10th in the A-10. The biggest change at Temple is at the else no longer play John Chaney's ball control offense in match-up zone defense. Under Dunphy the Owls push the ball up court and now play man-to-man defense. The Owls took their lumps in Dunphy’s first season as expected; they've adjusted offensively but still need improvement on defense. This is a tradition rich program that will not be down for long.

The Guards –At appoint Temple returns 6-4 junior Semaj Inge and senior 5-8 Chris Clark, sophomore Ryan Brooks gives the team depth in the backcourt. The Owls signed 6-4 Ramone Moore who averaged 25.1 points per game as a high school senior.

The Forwards –The Owls return the A-10s top two scorers in Mark Tyndale 19.4 ppg and 6.7 rpg and Dionte Christmas 20.0 ppg and 4.2rpg. Both players can fill it up and can move to guard when Temple utilizes a bigger lineup. The Owls finished 12th in the A-10 in rebounding last season and hope newcomers Craig Williams, Lavoy Allen and Michael Eric can help on the boards.

The Center -- Temple needs improvement around the basket from Sergio Olmos, a 7 foot junior who is the Owls only returning big man with experience.

The Temple non-conference Schedule will include the Puerto Rico Classic and home dates with Villanova, Florida and Duke. Look for the Owls to improve in their second season under Dunphy, but the A-10 is a much improved conference in any gains will be small. Look for Temple to get to the .500 mark and end the season with 15 wins.

Look for the Owls to improve in their 2nd season under Dunphy, but the A-10 is much improved and any gains will be small. Look for Temple to get to the .500 mark and end the season with 15 wins.
