Our 2008 Mock Draft based on the Consensus Ranking of all 120 Division-I Teams. We us an eight-man format with each Franchise owner making 10 selections, 80 Teams drafted in all. When you compare it to the GURU mock draft the latter round selections become quite different.

2007's Most Improved Teams by Wins

There are different ways teams show immediate improvements in win-loss from one year to the next. The easiest way is to have the schedule fall into place. Some coaches always have the schedule to match their talent. Senior leadership, recruiting, and coaching are all ingredients that contribute to that quick turnaround. The following eight teams are the ones that we project to make the biggest strides in 2007.

New Mexico St 4 to 9 - The Schedule is very manageable, if they can win one of 3 road conf games they’ll be well on their way to a bowl game for the first time in 45 years. The drought is over the Aggies will get 9 wins.

8 Draft Day Tips

Below are some tips for you to consider on draft day. They are in no particular order, nor are they presented in any type of weighted format. They are just there for you to consider; use the ones you want while throwing away those you don't.

1. Everyone knows the key teams, so take the time to research the teams that will be taken in the late middle rounds to the end of the draft.

2. Beware the Experts Curse!

3. Pay attention to last-minute injuries and adjust your rankings accordingly.

4. Do not go into the draft thinking you have to acquire a particular team at all costs. Also, do not fall in love with your favorite team or the local team.

5. Do not have too much of your favorite beverage on draft day (or the night before, for that matter!), especially if your favorite beverage happens to be alcoholic. Be happy to offer to buy that same beverage for you opponents the night before or during the draft, however!

7. With all the things you need to keep track of, have a partner or a friend accompany you on draft day and share in the draft duties.

8. Finally, remember that the draft is a poker game. Almost all the players have been reading info and advice.. Be awake, adjust to the trends and expect the unexpected. For example, we may have to break one of our own rules on draft day, just to keep the owners in our leagues who read this honest. Somewhere in the draft you should throw your competition a curveball, too, just to keep them on their toes and wondering.
