Head Coach - Brent Guy and the Utah St Aggies enter the 2008 season on a high note having won their last two games last year against NMSU and Idaho. Can they keep the winning streak alive this season or is it possible they’ll struggle to even win one game this season.

Quarterback - It seems for the third straight year the Aggies will be looking for a starting QB. Sean Setzer and Jase McCormick are the front runners for the starting job. Neither of these two QB’s have shown much to date and this could be a problem area up in Logan all season.

Running Backs - The backfield for the Aggies is serviceable, the Aggies do return the committee of Marsh and Speight and also a few other who will provide depth. The back with the most buzz is redshirt freshmen Robert Turbin who showed promise last fall in two a days until he went down with an injury.

Receivers - 2 out of the 3 TE/WR are returning this year for the Aggies. Myers and Nelson are the returnees who are key to the passing game but with the loss of star Kevin Robinson the Aggies will clearly not be as good as they were last year at this position.

Offensive Line - 3 out of the 8 players who started all 12 games are on the O-Line. Ryan Tonnemacher, Derek Hoke, and Spencer Johnson are returning to the trenches this season. Ty Rogers will also look to make an impact, after starting some games last season for Utah St upfront.

Defensive Line - The Aggies D-Line will have returning All-WAC player Ben Canlderwood anchoring either End or Tackle since he can play both position. To address some of the holes on the D-Line the Aggies have brought in two JUCO D-Lineman, Casey Davis and Magnum Mauga will make an immediate impact this year.

Linebackers - The strength of the defense this year will be the LB’s. Not only are the returning starter’s good players but the Aggies have pretty good depth at this position. Hutton and Igboeli are the two stars from last year; they both will need to lead by example for the Aggie Defense.

Defensive Backs - With all 4 starters in the secondary from last year retuning this season, expect good things this year in the Aggie Secondary. Taylor, Charles, Brindley, and Hall all have started and played well, if the front four can get some pressure upfield the secondary will benefit greatly.

Special Teams -

Schedule - The Aggies this year get both Idaho and NMSU at home, which might be there only chance to find some wins. If the Aggies struggle again Head Coach Brent Guy may only be calling Logan his home till December. It will be a long season once again and the Aggies will only get one win this season.
